The International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG) is a privately-owned industrial group focusing on mid-sized chemical and pharmaceutical businesses that hold leading positions in niche markets and operate in competitive environments.

The firm’s philosophy is to apply its combination of experience in the chemicals and pharmaceutical industry on the one hand and operational, transactional and financing expertise on the other, to effectively developing operating companies - internally or through platform acquisitions - and thereby realizing hidden values for employees, customers and investors alike.

Since its inception in 2004, ICIG has acquired more than 20 independent businesses, all of which have origins in major global chemical or pharmaceutical corporations. Today, the Group’s companies employ approximately 5,700 employees and operate more than 25 manufacturing facilities in Europe and the United States with total sales of 2.8 billion euros. Its corporate headquarters are located in Luxemburg.
WeylChem Group is ICIG’s fine chemicals industrial platform. ICIG also operates a Pharma platform named CordenPharma Group, a Chlorovinyls platform under the brand Vynova Group, and an Enterprises platform which comprises companies specialized in enzyme-based fermentation products, viscose filament, activated carbon and performance chemicals.

In addition, ICIG Business Services provides portfolio companies worldwide with crucial back-office services such as IT, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, and Legal. This firm employs about 100 employees in Frankfurt and Wuppertal, Germany.
