Andreas Maier succeeds Michael Grün as CEO and President
26.10.2023 - Andreas Maier will take over as the new CEO and President of the WeylChem Group of Companies on 1 November 2023. He succeeds Michael Grün, who has decided to step down from the management of the Group in order to pursue a new professional challenge outside the ICI Group.

Maier received his doctorate in organic chemistry from the University of Stuttgart in 1996 and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School. The 58-year-old began his career at Hoechst and Clariant in the Exclusive Synthesis division for agrochemicals and speciality chemicals, which has been part of the ICI Group since 2007. He worked in an international environment in the USA and Germany in the areas of R&D, Operations, Sales and Business Management. Since 2015, he has been in charge of WeylChem's Care Chemicals business, which he continues to manage on an interim basis.
